Dear Lil A, Happy 4 months to you! I’m a day late because yesterday you had your first flight out to visit the motherland for the first time. Welcome to kerala! I can see you are already loving the breeze and trees here. You are scream-babbling a lot more now that you are with your grandparents. So what happened in the last one month? Well you had your first road trip and first visit to Makkah. You handled the almost 2000km road trip like a champ. May Allah bless and protect you.
You’ve been trying hard to turn over the last few weeks so we’re always building pillow forts around you while in bed. You also seem to be teething because of which your entire fist can be found in your mouth at all times.
You love the silly songs we sing to you, especially Papa’s “I like to eat Adams and bananas” which has you laughing like it’s the funniest thing ever. You’re now making proper eye contact and just started responding to video calls too.
We read some more new books this time, including some by Dr Seuss and Julia Donaldson but I have kind of lost track.
You adore your sister and watch her playing all the time, sometimes encouraging her antics with big smiles and approving gurgles.
It looks like you might be a foodie like your mamma because I see you smacking your lips each time we have food. But sorry bud, you gotta wait two more months before trying anything solid!
I love being your mother so much! You and your sister make me so so so happy! Thank you my cute lil button for being mamma’s very own squishy potato!
